What this website processes, and what it does not

This marketing site is statically built. There is no tracking, no analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts for profiling.

  • No Google Analytics, no Matomo, no pixel.
  • No cookies, neither functional nor advertising cookies.
  • No newsletter software. The contact form opens your local mail client via mailto: and never sends data to our server.
  • No third-party embeds (no YouTube, Vimeo or Maps).

What happens when you load the site

When the site is loaded, the hosting provider records technically necessary server logs (IP address, user agent, date/time, requested URL, referrer). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operational security and defense against attacks). These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

External fonts

This site loads the fonts Inter (rsms.me), Inter Tight and JetBrains Mono (Google Fonts). Loading them transmits your IP address to the respective providers. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If you would rather not, block rsms.me and fonts.googleapis.com in your browser; the site remains usable with system fallback fonts.

If you reach out by email (hello@foldmail.de, security@foldmail.de, legal@datargo.de), we process the contents of your message and your email address to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. We keep this correspondence for as long as needed to answer your request and to satisfy statutory retention duties.

This privacy notice covers the marketing website only. The separate privacy notice of the FOLD app is bundled with the app and describes: no telemetry, no crash reporter that could ship mail contents, connections exclusively to mail servers you configure and to our signed provider database.
